Unslouch Terms of Use
Effective: 28 September 2026.
Unslouch (called «Засиделся» in Russian) and its website unslouch.health-diet.ru were created by Sergey Yadrov, a private individual, referred to below as “we”. These terms cover the app, the website, the free tools on the website and the browser version. By downloading, installing or running the app, or by using the website, you agree to these terms.
Free and open source
The app is free. Its source code is published under the MIT licence: you may view, modify and
distribute it on the terms of that licence. The full licence text is in the LICENSE file at
https://github.com/YadrovSergey/unslouch. Where these terms differ from the MIT licence regarding
rights to the code, the licence prevails.
As is
The app, the website, the tools on the website and the browser version are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In particular, we do not warrant:
- that they will work without errors or interruptions, on every computer, system and browser;
- that they are fit for your purposes or will produce any health result;
- that calculations and suggestions are accurate: for example, the desk height calculator uses average body proportions and gives only a starting point;
- that the research summaries are complete or up to date: they retell published studies and are not medical advice;
- that the website, downloads and updates will always be available: they depend on hosting, a CDN and GitHub, which we do not control.
We may change or stop the app, the website or their operation at any time.
Not a medical product
- Unslouch is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or replace a doctor.
- The reminders and exercises help you take breaks and reduce fatigue at the computer. They do not promise anything more.
- Do the exercises without pain. If it hurts, you feel dizzy or things get worse, stop.
- If you have a condition affecting your eyes, spine, joints, heart or blood vessels, are pregnant, or recently had an injury or surgery, ask your doctor which exercises are right for you.
- The “When to see a doctor” sections in docs/science.en.md describe when to seek help. If something hurts, does not go away, or your vision, breathing or wellbeing suddenly get worse, see a doctor, and call emergency services if it is severe.
Donations
The app and the website are free. You can support the project with a voluntary donation through CloudTips. A donation is not a payment, does not unlock any features and creates no obligations on our side. Refunds are possible only under the rules of CloudTips and your bank.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from using or being unable to use the app, the website or the tools, including loss of data or settings, failures and interruptions, lost profits, decisions made on the basis of suggestions or calculations, or harm from exercises done against the advice above. We are not responsible for third-party services and sites that links lead to (GitHub, Yandex Metrica, health-diet.ru and others). The app and the website are free and you use them at your own risk.
This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it, for example in cases of intent.
Changes
These terms may change. A new version takes effect from the date shown at the top. All previous versions are visible in the repository history on GitHub. By continuing to use the app or the website after a change, you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Russian Federation.
